! SPOILER ALERT ! The following post contains spoilers for the chapters 23 to 27. So unless you’ve read them, DON’T PROCEED ! SPOILER ALERT !

-S P O I L E R S-

The golden buy of Lethe was gone. When I read those words I died a little inside. I still don't think he's fully gone? PLEASE LET HIM NOT BE FULLY GONE. What is he now? He IS a hellbeast? He's IN a hellbeast? WHAT IS HAPPENING???

I love that Alex and Turner are working together. They make a great team and keep bickering which is awesome. Alex's sass is awesome! And I'm totally rooting for them and Dawes to solve this whole crazy thing.

I AM SO GLAD BLAKE IS DEAD. THAT LITTLE SHITBAG. I legit wasn't expecting that sudden atttack from him. How did he know what had happened and everything? Who sent him?

I need to know which society is behind all this. Like Alex, I totally thought Colin was a nice, sweet guy but look at the things he dabbled in. what about the rest of Scroll and Key? and the other societies? AHHH YALE IS DANGEROUS!!!!

What is Alex going to do next? She's obviously not satisfied and neither are we. I'm looking forward to her kicking some ass and destroying the bad guys because THEY'VE GONE TOO FAR.

And please someone find Darlington! PLEASE!

-L E T    U S   D I S C U S S -

What do you think will happen to Darlington? Will he be back? Who do you doubt sent Blake?

So Tara seemed to have seen and learnt too much. She also knew every scumbag in the big houses. Lance was a little dumb in comparison, but his interview cleared up a lot.
The healing in the crucible was amazing, Dawes knows her stuff well.
Blake turning up, sort of tied up too neatly for my comfort. Clearly it wasn’t just Merity related jealousy revenge murder type of a deal. I feel he was being controlled by someone. Someone who told him who Alex was and where to find, and provided him with starpower. He was just taking the fall for either one or more societies. We need more answers.
Even the Bridegroom’s is not a simple Homicide-suicide. For sure there is more to be gleaned from the Alex-Bridegroom relationship.
Cover up with a bumped up GPA is a joke. Obviously Alex can’t let it go, especially with Deadly Nurse Jean around.

The moon-rite ritual was very detailed and scary and well, SCARY! I actually thought Darlington went into some interdimensional space that night because of the description of the dark void made me feel so. It is unfortunate that he is dead because he never had closure in anything. He did not get an explanation from Alex, he did not fulfill his job as Virgil, He had not solved North’s case yet and, he did not find any true relationship in his life other than the one with his grandfather. A very sad turn of events. Blake coming compulsed with starpower and trying to kill Alex was another power-packed action moment. The whole scene with Dawes opening the door, Blake walking in, Dean Sandow showing up, Alex setting the Jaackles off, the whole thing gave me goosebumps. The sucker-for-action in me was satisfied.
The vibe it gave by the end of chapter 27 was hopeless. Nothing more could be done. Nobody would pay. No justice for Tara or for Dawes or for Alex herself. Just a bump in the GPA. A bribe. A lousy way out. Hopefully, things fall into place in the final 5 chapters for the powerful finale tomorrow!

If I’ve learned anything from reading books and watching films/series with dark subject and morally grey characters is that no one is innocent and if there’s a character that you think might be innocent and kind and pure, well I suspect them even more

That’s why Im really suspicious of the Dean, Colin and Belbalm these characters are just too good and too pure in Alex’s eyes, or at least they were in the beginning, and that just planted a seed of suspicion in me and I’m SO, SO GLAD that Alex is finally thinking the way I did haha!

The moment when Alex was asking Colin something and Belbalm just took him away? Suspicious.

But they all have an alibi so I’m confused as hell!

AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE DARLINGTON IS DEAD!!
Like leigh can’t just introduce me to this Golden Boy and his story and just freaking KILL HIM! 😫🥺
I, WANT HIM BACK I DON’T CARE HOW
The worst part is that he never even got to be a grey, his body was never found to be buried, and it was kept a secret so very few people knew of his death and even less will miss him! THATS the real kick in the gut, the punch in your throat feeling.

So Blake killed Tara? That revelation was… so plain I expected more from this story, but I still have questions to be answered so let’s see

Darlington is gone…… I am not gonna see him anymore?!?!? WHAT?!? NO!!!! I refuse to accept it!!!! I can’t accept it!!!

The interrogation scene was very informative! So much information!! Lance is just dumb… he used his last chance to go back to his place?! So stupid.

Alex and Dawes and Turner is an amazing team!! Love them working together!!!

It was Blake?! But he said he dint kill Tara… now he says he is the one who did it?! He remembered it was Alex?!?! How did he know they would be there?! Who is helping him?!?!?!

The rich get away with everything! It’s devastating!! It is awful!! I am pissed!! North was of no use!! Except for giving Alex awful memories!!

I don’t know what Alex is going to do!!! And Yes….. please bring Darlington back… I can’t….🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
